Summary and Evaluation

The article “Smartphones in the Classroom? Let Students Decide” which was written by Mr. Gooblar talks about if students should use technology during the classes. First, the author argues that because of the technology inside the classes, students are losing their focus for the class, and they don’t pay any attention to the lessons. However, because of the new technology taking notes and organize the information became very easy to the students. On the other hand, the author states a solution for the aforesaid issue, which have a discussion with the students in order to help them to understand what should they do during the classes.
               The article can be trusted and used in essay. First, the article was published in January 23, 2014, which makes it current. Also, the author is Gooblar who teaches literature and writing at Mount Mercy University and Augustana college. Moreover, the article posted in The Chronicle of Higher Education, which is one of the academic websites. Next, the article comes from a research, and provided with evidence. Finally, the main points is to persuade the teachers to let the students use the technology in classes.
